National Museum of Ethiopia - This museum hosts the replica skeleton of Lucy. Lucy is an ape skeleton more than 3 million years old, which was discovered in Ethiopia and probably the most famous early human ancestor in the world.

St George's Cathedral - This Cathedral was built in commemoration of the defeat of Ethiopians over the Italian army in the 1896 historical battle and is the place of Emperor Haile Selassie's coronation in 1930.

Holy Trinity Cathedral - This Cathedral is the place where Emperor Haile Selassie was finally made to rest.

Merkato - Merkato is the largest market place in Africa.

Blue Nile Falls

The Church of St. Mary of Zion

The Church of St. Mary of Zion is a sacred and historical site located in Axum, Ethiopia next to the chapel containing the Ark of the Covenant. A newer church of St. Mary of Zion was built near the old one.

Men and Women are allowed to enter the new church of St. Mary of Zion contrary to the old one, in which only Men are allowed.

Another important fact is that emperors of Ethiopia came to the St. Mary of Zion to be crowned.

The Dallol (Danakil) Depression

Dallol is a crater located in Afar, part of North Western Ethiopia and the lowest and hottest place in the world. Harar, Ethiopia

Harar is a walled city indexed on UNESCO's World Heritage Sites List and one of the most famous historical places in Ethiopia that is definitely worth a visit. The most important attraction of this cultural city is the buildings and houses reflections of the Islamic culture and still reserving this value in spite the influences of the current modern world.

Another attraction of this fine destination is the Hyena Men, who feed hyenas by suspending food by a stick in their mouth in which you could even participate in this event.

Placed on UNESCO's world Heritage Sites List, Tiya is one of the most important sites from the 160 discovered archaeological sites in the Soddo region in Ethiopia. Tiya consists of over 30 monuments and 30 steles carved with symbols.

Yeha - Temple of the Moon
